AIU events like symposiums and conference days, provide an opportunity for students to present their work, expertise, and knowledge to the world. It is also a venue that allows for the sharing of ideas, challenges to supporting evidence and concussions. These factors work together to improve the overall work and research by AIU students.
Students are invited to participate and in some cases may be required too as part of the program academic requirements. The announcement of upcoming events is usually 30 days in advance and students are notified by email and the communications system in the Virtual Campus. Students present for a period of 20 to 60 minutes and time at the end for questions and feedback from the audience.
Recordings of the event are made available and shared on AIU Merlin Media Center where the academic knowledge can be shared with current and future students upon indexing.
Networking and collaboration opportunities arise from these events as well was from the indexing and archiving of the content. AIU provides a mechanism where presenters can be reached about their work, initiatives, projects exhibited in their presentations wherever these are published.
