I personally enjoyed the andragogy type of learning and it gave me more insight in my life interests as I have managed to sharpen and am proud that I am now a more confident person than ever before. It helped me to rediscover myself as a lecturer as well as an accomplished financial guru.
The prescribed set of books helped to look at myself as a different person altogether and the way I now view life is now totally different. Where there is no way, I will find my way and if need be, will create one for myself. Life is full of opportunities that are endless. Problems do exist but I am happy that the solutions that exist far exceed the problems and it’s a question of one’s choice. To be poor is a matter of choice and to be rich is a matter of choice and to be creative it is also a matter of choice and am so glad that am now in charge of my own destiny.
I did most of my previous studies at the traditional universities but my experience with AIU has been quite different. The Academic Advisors are quite helpful including the tutors who guided me in a very professional manner. At times anger would set on me, but I was quick to discover that I was learning and listening helped me a lot. At one stage I got disappointed, but was also quick to discover that it was my entire fault and had to persevere to attain the most prestigious qualification on the globe – The Doctorate in Finance. Patience pays! I was so patient and am so glad today.
To my Academic Advisor, Dr Ericks Vasquez, I say thank you for being patient with me and your advice helped me a lot. As you released me in this open world, I am now different and can deliver any assignment given to me and it is my hope, which I do believe, will help my students as well where am lecturing on a part time basis.
I would not hesitate AIU to any person and its lack of accreditation does not mean the qualification is not acceptable. Accreditation is a matter of choice and AIU chose not to. After all the qualification so much depends on one’s attitude towards life and as for me, I have a positive one and my PhD will certainly take me a long way.
