Dear Academic Advisor
I, Praveen Moolchandani would like to share a few
words about my journey at AIU. In 2007, I received a call from AIU and was
offered to apply. Upon application, I was offered partial scholarship towards
my DBA-HR degree.
Initially, it was a whole new experience; from
choosing the right subjects to study and selecting key areas for research. From
stringent but excellent guidelines on doing assignments to the challenges of
finding enough research sources, it has been a great learning experience.
It’s unfortunate that during my journey, my progress
was delayed due to 2 recessions and change of jobs. However, not just
personally, but professionally and academically I have come a long way. I
completed my GPHR from HRCI, USA which has just about 2200 graduates around the
world. This complemented my DBA study.
I’ve also applied much of my learning at work and have
grown professionally. It feels great when I talk the room and everyone wants to
listen to my ideas and the value that I might add. Today, I am the operations
manager for one of the largest companies in Middle East & manage some of
the best clients in the hospitality industry.
It feels great but none of this was possible without
the abundance of academic resources at disposal and the constant support and
occasional motivation from the academic advisors. I’ve approached my advisors
on several occasions and have never been denied support. This is what
distinguishes AIU from rest of the institutions and I wholeheartedly thank each
and every member of the AIU family.
Thank You
Sincerely
