I started my degree program at AIU in February 2010. At first I didn’t have an idea what distance learning was about and how I was going to cope with it, but I decided to take up the challenge as a trial and compare it to attending classes at a college. The academic office introduced me to the Advanced Placement Masters program which I absolutely love just because it is intensive but short and very rewarding to know that I could actually combine a bachelor’s degree with a Masters degree.
My experience at AIU has been very rewarding. I have expanded my knowledge in human resources, applied a lot of the knowledge in my job as an HR manager and also made a lot of changes within the organization. It is still unbelievable that one can attain a degree from the comfort of their homes using a laptop and the internet. It is really amazing but I have experienced it and will definitely recommend it to especially working mothers like me as well as stay at home moms. The flexibility of doing assignments and the quick response from student services and my advisor are very credible. I now feel comfortable with AIU’s system of learning and will continue with my Masters Degree program.
