After having been admitted to the Degree of
Master in Public Policy and Administration at the University of Mauritius with
Distinction in 2007, I had decided to read for a PhD in Local Public
Administration. Somehow this quest did not materialize. My quest to read for a
higher degree brought me to Atlantic International University (AIU) where I enrolled
to read for a Degree of Doctor in Business Administration.
I came across a number of nice ladies and
gentlemen from the academic department and the finance department of AIU. They
were all very helpful in showing me the way to success. Depending upon my needs
I was offered the services of a number of tutors. The assistance I received was
beyond my expectations. They were all much above.
Two persons really marked my stay with the
AIU. The first was Ms Nadia Bailey, the tutor who was by my side for a much
longer time than other tutors. I was impressed by the way she gets things
going. Without any form of pressure she did manage to get me down to the
studies and encouraged me to complete my assignments in time and very often
ahead of schedule. She is really good.
The second person to mark my stay with AIU,
and by far very significantly, was
Dr Franklin Valcin, my academic advisor. In my life as a student I have
met a couple of very inspiring persons who at times, as a guide, have showed me the path and at other times,
more often, as a coach of the day they have built my self confidence to
challenge myself and instilled the drive to move forward. The last person on
this list is Dr Valcin.
I have drawn my own conclusion after my stay
at the AIU. In any case, I am not leaving. I feel proud to have read for my
Doctorate in Business Administration with the AIU. I would not have done better
elsewhere.
My experience with the AIU is what in
Customer Relations Management is called Customer delight, one level higher than
Customer satisfaction.
My last words are: I will definitely
recommend AIU to others. It’s an experience worth living.
