Sustainable Food & Bioproducts

 
With a world population that is constantly growing, science is looking for ways to optimize resources in order to offer quality food in an environmentally friendly way. The research now is focused on using the resources efficiently. The aim is to offer good quality food, produce much more food using less land and work on waste. By researching how to improve food production processes, the quality of life of the planet and its inhabitants is being improved, helping this field to combat disease, hunger, and of course pollution.
 
 

Research Areas

Through targeted research we can acquire actionable knowledge. The AIU program encourages students and staff to demonstrate competency through independent learning and research that seeks to solve key problems in their field of study/work. By encouraging this, AIU programs promote a solid foundation for its graduates and alumni while finding solutions to real world problems.
