School of Social and Human Studies
The doctoral program in Islamic Studies provides students with the research and analytical tools necessary to make a contribution in one of three lines of study: Qur’anic studies, studies on sexuality, gender and feminism in Islam, and environmental studies in Islam.
In addition, this program as a whole is geared towards the analysis of contemporary debates and issues that concerns Muslims around the world. Students will also be able to address the relationship of Islam to other religions through comparative courses on Christianity and Judaism.
Our program does not require every student to study the same subjects and use the same books and other learning materials as every other student. If you are a purpose-driven individual who wants to elevate their life and make a solid contribution to the world, then this doctoral program is for you.
