Dr. Nadir Sidiqi was recently recognized in the e-newsletter of the Society of Afghan Engineers- a non-profit organization based in the USA- about his presentation on “Antibiotic Resistance: Emerging Threat in Agricultural and Environmental Systems” in the second international conference in Egypt.
Dr. Sidiqi was invited as a Session Chair as well as a speaker in the 2nd International Conference on New Horizons in Basic and Applied Science. In this informative article he outlines the highlights of his presentation which were:
1. What are antibiotics as well as antibiotic resistance and why is it important to understand it?
2. What are the links between these two issues in the past- present- and future?
3. What are the connections of my presentation to the health of human society and environment based on ecological interactions- genetic interactions and physiological interactions?
