AIU Graduate, Eridania Rodríguez Peguero, won a writing contest sponsored by the Ministry of Education in her country, Dominican Republic (MINERD). During the school year 2022-2023, Eridania got a certifícate of participation and a prize of RD$40,000.00. They are also going to publish her Essay with the other participant’s work to support a Project, which will benefit their countries reading and writing skills in schools and all Dominican citizens.

What is the Importance of Effective Communication? Where is it leading us?
Since the fetus is conceived in the mother’s womb, it communicates both, physically and emotionally with her mother, since it feels the effects of whether it is accepted or rejected, loved or unwanted, which produces in it learning about what is and how to respond to interaction with other people. During the development of life in society, the patterns acquired during the time of conception are positively or negatively enriched, according to what is received at home with the family and the surrounding environment, which allows each individual is a social entity, situated or not. It is at school where the greatest consequences are suffered.
The United Nations (UN) has 17 Sustainable Development Goals, which it aims to achieve by the year 2030. Number 4 of these goals is the much-needed “Quality Education”. Effective Communication is what leads us to meaningful learning. This starts in the family and is reinforced in educational institutions.
