When students at AIU graduate, they take a pledge. What do they pledge?

“As a member of AIU and an ambassador to society and the world, I commit myself to respect and exercise human rights and to contribute to the 17 objectives of the United Nations higher order for a sustainable world…. As the world moves towards the inclusiveness of each individual.”

The purpose of the oath is to put into a global context our own lives. With your AIU degree, you have a greater responsibility in society. So, the greater purpose of your title is to be a leader for a just, sustainable and inclusive world.

During your studies at AIU, you also study human rights and the 17 UN sustainability goals. You cultivate your professional development with AIU within that context.

We can no longer live only for our own lives. We have to serve our communities. We want the best for you and the other AIU graduates, as well as the best for everyone.
