Experience
at AIU

To be candid my experience at AIU is somewhat
limited. I worked for several years at
another institution gathering all academic credits needed for my PhD
program. I also worked for several years
on a dissertation product that was difficult to get approved due to
disagreements amongst the PhDs at that institution about the experimentation
and conclusions. Quite frankly there was more concern relative to using my
extensive research for the publication of academic papers than necessarily
getting me to the conclusion of my PhD program. In my frustration I turned to AIU. AIU
seemed more interested in the content of the work than whether it would help
lead to tenure for some individuals in that previous academic structure.

I found AIU to be extremely responsive to my
needs. AIU recognized the issue at hand
and after examination of all my previous credits and the current state of the
dissertation granted me entry into their program. This allowed me to use all the previous
efforts without the necessity of repeating classes or workload. After several months of polishing the
dissertation the document was deemed acceptable for the awarding of a PhD
degree.

I should note that I have several Master’s
Degrees from other institutions and am closing in on the end of my working
career. I decided some years ago to
pursue a PhD not for any monetary benefit, but to continue growing from an
educational perspective in my life. AIU
has allowed me to finish that endeavor.
The staff at all levels and in all disciplines has been extremely
helpful and reactive to me needs. AIU
made it easy to transition from my previous university always giving me the
confidence that I would finish. I am
thankful to AIU for the opportunity provided to me by their unique program and
approach to education.
