I have finished my course work for my master’s degree in Educational Administration. Prior to enrolling at AIU, I had earned a bachelor’s in accounting and a masters’ degree in Business Administration. After twenty years working as a Certified Accountant I commenced pursuing my passion for teaching. I wanted to continue my education in teaching but was turned off by the requirements for teachers’ certification and courses outlined for teaching degrees offered by learning institutions. The degrees offered by most universities interest me but the courses were not relevant to my interest. At first, I gave up the idea of pursuing a degree in education. In fact, I came across AIU while doing a web search and right away my interest for an educational degree returned.
AIU has given me the opportunity to study courses of studies that were appropriate to my interest and apply them toward a degree program. I have been given the freedom and opportunity in selecting and designing the relevant courses of studies that focus on my interest and desires. By far and away these courses have been the most rewarding that I have ever taken.
I am an Administrator/Board member at a private kindergarten and elementary school that serves young men and women from ages 2 to 12. The studies I have done have increased my proficiency and allowed me to better serve in my capacity as administrator and acting school board member.
