This is to inform you that one of our graduated students- Dr. Kenneth Hamwaka- had the opportunity to sit down with the current Secretary General of United Nations- Mr. Ban Ki-Moon when Mr. Ki-Moon visited Malawi last week.
Dr. Hamwaka has completed a PhD program at Atlantic International University. He is the Executive Director of the organization “Guidance- Counseling and Youth Development Centre for Africa” (GCYDCA).
He took advantage of sharing the African youth vision on development. From the discussion- the Centre has been funded to sensitize Immigration officers and teachers on child trafficking in the following boarders:
- Malawi / Zambia at Mwami boarder
- Malawi/ Mozambique at 3 entry points
- Zambia/ Zimbabwe in Livingstone
- Mozambique / Zimbabwe at Nyamapande
- Zimbabwe / South Africa at beit bridge
The centre itself will not visit all these places. The Guidance and counseling officers near these boarders will be assigned to do the work.
