The objective of the doctoral program in Sociocultural Anthropology is to provide students with the necessary research tools to create a theoretical framework for Social Anthropology, and to understand its epistemological status within the social sciences and its possibilities of operationalization in local, regional, national, and international contexts.

The graduate of this program will have the necessary competencies for professional performance, both in academic research and in applied research and professional practice. Diagnose, advise, plan, execute and direct applied research, as well as know the different modalities of direct work with the population and professional performance in extra-academic environments and institutions.
