School of Social and Human Studies
This doctoral program in Art History is designed to provide research tools to analyze the economic, social and political contexts necessary for artistic movements to be generated.
Students will be able to study media and entertainment theory, literature, history, science and anthropology. Through art, students acquire a broader understanding of the world, learn to research and improve their critical thinking abilities.
Our program does not require every student to study the same subjects and use the same books and other learning materials as every other student. If you are a purpose-driven individual who wants to elevate their life and make a solid contribution to the world, then this doctoral program is for you.
Important: Below is an example of the topics or areas you may develop and work on during your studies. By no means is it a complete or required list as AIU programs do not follow a standardized curriculum. It is meant solely as a reference point and example.
